From simple beginnings to fame.
Here are some key events in the building’s history:
- 1899 - Inauguration of the building as an electric tram depot.
- 1996 - The brick wall with its steel roof becomes a listed building.
- 2003 - The last tram leaves the depot.
- 2009 - This historic architectural highlight gets a new lease on life as a restaurant cum beer garden and event venue named Depot 1899.
- present - Nothing has been stopping us. We are proud of that.
